Decor

Vintage is huge for weddings this year and a lot of couples are getting more and more creative by taking it one step further with their theme. French inspired decor is one of those themes that screams decadence. We came across these french inspired and hand stamped  linens, ribbons, and flowers at Fleur in Toronto and was happy to see that they also have hundreds of custom and unique products on Etsy aswell. This artist  enjoys the use of ink in many creative ways from corks, candles, tags, napkins , ribbons, flowers ,and linens. Just one more way to add dimension to a vintage inspired reception.

Last week we were talking about Adele Wechler’s Eco chic couture bridal collection. To expand on the theme of an Eco friendly wedding , we found these favors online at Nature Favors. From bird seed hearts, to seed infused confetti and potted wildflowers that don’t require you packing dirt into a gift box, these favors are a cute green spin to wedding favors.

The Mad Hatter’s tea party was a decor trend we saw several examples of at the CSEME last week. However our favorite tea party table designed by Decor and More, took the cake. It incorporated just the right touch of elegance and whimsical to make the decor suitable for both child and adult. There were so many decor details to this design, with tea pots, rabbits, potions, and Mad Hatter labeled tea bags. We loved the all flowers cake centerpiece matched with adorable personal flower bouquet cupcakes. The whimsical blend of the patterned linens and garden flowers made this table design enchanted. Just imagine how an Alice in Wonderland themed bridal shower or even wedding could be absolutely charming.

Last week, TWS was on location at the CSEME theme decor challenge held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. We showed the gorgeous winning table designs by EventDecorator.com and Designing Trendz and here is a peak of the other theme table designs.

In the student challenge there was a minimalist country inspired design that caught our attention. On a worn wood country table laid bouquets of fresh herbs, white hydrangeas and chicken wire charger plate. It displayed a chic modern approach to a country side event. We enjoyed the adorable idea of wine corks presenting the name of the fresh herbs in front of the guest. This look is definitely achievable for any country side or cottage wedding.

We did notice Gold is becoming very popular when it comes to adding richness in color to wedding decor. This Egyptian theme table design created by FOS Decor Center showcases the warmth of that trend.

This themed table created by Nisha Chandra Events, celebrates the colorful Indian culture. We love the blend of oranges, pinks and gold with the pattern linens and rope chandelier. The multi flowered elephant centerpiece is the masterpiece of this table.

A special treat to the theme décor challenge (see previous post) held at the Canadian Special Events & Meeting Expo was the table design by Designing Trendz. They are a full service event design and décor company with a talented creative team dedicated to orchestrating every aspect of an event, professionally and with flair. Their entry in the competition was absolutely decadent and all about sass and chocolate. Chocolate fountains presented to each seat while surrounded with chocolate kisses and chocolate dipped apples. We love the use of gorgeous orchids and the Dolce and Gabbana cheetah print chairs. Makes you wish you were sitting at whatever event this table was at. Congrats to Designing Trendz for placing first aswell in the theme décor challenge! Stay tuned for more posts of other table inspirations from this inspiring event.

We also took a look at their company’s booth to see several table design concepts as follows. They all were fabulous to say the least.

TWS was on location at CSEME Toronto (Canadian Special Events & Meetings Expo) held at the Metro Convention Centre. We were more than excited to see the creative minds of Toronto’s hottest event designers in action for the Theme Decor Challenge. There was so much to take in we couldn’t really dedicate one blog post to it.

The first creative table design we saw, as we walked into the challenge area was the “Spirit of Nature” table, designed by Elizabeth Johnston of EventDecorator.com. This highly reputable Muskoka based Event Designer took Native influences and created a luxurious masterpiece filled with layers of flowers, crystal beads , feathers and birch mini cakes designed by The Caketress. We love the use of untraditional colors with shades or caramel , soft orange, and hints of red. But what made this design opulent, was the use of a flowers dream catcher as a chandelier hanging above. It is no surprise this design tied for first place along with Designing Trendz (to be featured soon along with the other décor challenge competitors).
