“I consider myself to be an artist,” Ida began. “I’m not a cake decorator – I don’t have a book or portfolio you could look through and decide which cake design you want. I’m not a baker that bakes hundreds of cakes a day using mixes and oily frosting. I truly take pride in what I create and every detail is important to me – starting with ingredients.”
“As for design, no two cakes are alike,” she continued. “When I meet with clients they usually bring along pictures of other cake designs – which is okay – but I truly strive to create a unique and original design for each couple. I want couples to feel like I’m creating their wedding cake, and not some random cake in a magazine.”
