Attention all engaged, newly (or not so newly) married, and soon to be tying the knot couples! It may seem a bit early to start counting down the days to the 2011 Wedding Show at the ever glamourous and wonderful Carlu in January, however, the talented and very hard working people at The Wedding Co.need our help! They have come up with the most inspiring concept to celebrate the show’s 10th Anniversary in the form of a handmade, heartwarming installation.
Behold…The Crane Chandelier Project! They have developed a plan to celebrate love all around the world, and give back all at the same time. The Crane Project has gone worldwide – asking for couples around the globe to take a moment to hand craft an origami crane and send in to be cleverly displayed as one complete chandelier installation. This is where you/we/I/ come in; their goal is to reach 10,000 cranes by January. They currently have 8352, and are ever so close to reaching the 10,000 mark very soon!
With each crane they receive, they are donating 50 cents to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation.
